The finance module is fully compliant with the requirements of Consistent Financial
Reporting. It is a flexible and powerful tool to help you set, monitor and report
all aspects of the school budget.
Income can be predicted and recorded upto ten years into the future using Wauton
Samuel's Finance Module. The majority of income is funding from the local authority
and the majority of this funding is dependant on the school's role. If a school
is able to predict their future school role and have figures on how much funding
a school will recieve depending on the types of pupil they enrol, the school can
calculate how much funding they will recieve in future years.
The current school role can be entered at the left hand side of the screen and this
will cascade across the year as the pupils move up a year each Autumn Term
The amount of funding per pupil a school will recieve is entered for the years that
a school wish to predict funding for.
Below is an example of a report produced using the above information. The school
roll (blue) hasn't changed much over the years examined
but the funding (grey) has increased because the LEA
has steadily increased the funding per pupil. This information is also provided
in a tablular format to enable a user of the finance module to quickly review figures
and use the predicted funding in the
Funding Details area of the system. Funding can be entered for financial
years upto ten years in the future and can include the pupil led funding information
calculated above aswell as general funding schools may recieve for different schemes
they apply to and CF funding from previous years.s
The Year - On - Year Report combines the budgets generated by forward planning to
produce a report showing income and expenditure summary and details over a set of
three years.
