Wauton Samuel are active and enthusiastic members of the DfES Core Software Suppliers' Group. We work with the DfES on the development and implementaion of statutory returns such as School Census, School Work Force and Common Transfer Files.

The extraction of the required pupil data from the database is achieved in a minute or so by clicking Generate Return, other information that may be required can be entered and will be included in the return, for example teachers and admissions appeals other information such as the school's class structure will be extracted and may only need updating.

If there are any errors or inconsistencies in the data they are clearly reported

The errors can be corrected and the extract is then run again

The following screen populates itself from data extracted during the School Census and most schools would then only need to make a note of the activities in each class at the census time and the number of staff in each class.

The data can then be sent off to the DfEE or the LEA

The way in which PASAPP produces PLASC has been praised by DfES appointed auditors for its ease of use
